Jim is available to book for various types of events including clubnights and gigs. He can host your event/launch, and can also perform a DJ set to fit the occasion. Rates vary, but are available on request.

Music consultancy
With over 20 years experience promoting unsigned/new music on the radio, and as a respected tastemaker within the music industry, Jim is now making himself available as a consultant to new acts. Services are also on offer to music-related businesses.
The advice Jim can provide would be geared to each client’s needs, with the agenda arranged in advance if required.
Jim could come along to a rehearsal, or just meet at a location of the client’s choice.
Media training, including interview techniques and writing press releases is available.
It’s up to the act what they get out of it, and the sort of advice they are looking for.
Rather than preaching how things should be done, Jim’s services take the form of an informal (though structured) discussion…
Areas that can be covered:
Selling yourself/marketing – Probably the area where you can get the most out of Jim’s knowledge and experience. How do you move to the next level and get noticed? From traditional means to social networking, it’s an ever changing environment. Do you just need a Fsacebook page, or is it better to spend money on a fancy website?
Performance – Not how competent you are at playing, but how you come across to the audience.
Networking – Jim’s not going to pass you his little black book (not that he has one), but can point you in the right direction and advise.

Podcasts
Jim can help you create a bespoke podcast for your band/product. In addition to his weekly Jim Gellatly’s New Music podcast, Jim also helped create Dundee band The Law’s “Lawcast“. His latest projects include a collaboration with Radio Magnetic to create an official Snow Patrol podcast for Gigs In Scotland (stream/download below).
Voice-over
Jim services are available as a voiceover for commercials, corporate DVDs and the likes. He’s previously voiced TV and radio ads for The Fratellis, Attic Lights, Codeine Velvet Club and Miller Genuine Draft. He also provided the voice-over for STV’s Chartburn on several occasions in the late 90s. Jim’s voice demo is available at www.pacificaudio.co.uk
